With Black Friday, party season and Christmas round the corner, here’s the beauty search terms that have seen an increase in searches over the last month, along with how much searches have increased:

⬆ Makeup brush cleaner +59%
⬆ Eyebrow dye +44%
⬆ Classic eyelash extensions +8%
⬆ Light brown hair dye +8%

And here are the search terms in beauty that dipped over the last month:

This doesn’t necessarily mean that people aren’t buying/interested in the above – it could mean that they’re buying them in other ways (like TikTok shop, in store or on Instagram) or it might be down to seasonal factors like halloween or market saturation. It could just be a temporary blip.

It might mean that search terms have changed too. We’ve all seen how TikTok loves to rebrand things that already existed into a new name, especially in beauty. It’s always worth keeping an eye on trends and reviewing your keywords and content to make sure your strategy’s working as hard as it can for you.

Usually though, if there’s loads of search growth it can indicate something that’s trending, so it’s worth checking on on your SEO, social and content strategies to make sure that you can be ahead. The trend cycle’s way shorter these days and sometimes just being first is all you need to seriously bump sales.
