The lash industry has been seriously disrupted over the last few years. We had lash extensions and strip lashes, then pre-glued strips, magnetic lashes and cluster lashes have grown in popularity as people want to look good but spend less.
Searches for cluster lashes have grown by 150% worldwide in the last year. I first spotted them as we came out of the second lockdown – lash techs I worked with at the time thought I’d illegally got my lashes done.
I LOVE the look of lash extensions but the maintenance, cost and the fact that sometimes I just want to rub my eyes/wash my face thoroughly are annoying. This is echoed by other consumers.
But back to the pre-glued lashes.
I was a bit sceptical about whether they’d actually be easy to apply, whether they’d stay on and if they’d look bad. Nope, I loved them, and the way I feel about them now is how I felt when I first discovered the original glue-on clusters. They’re easy to put on and take off, are far less messy, look great and feel secure.
Why do I think pre-glued lash clusters are about to get really popular?
- Searches for “pre-glued lash clusters” and “glueless lash clusters” have less than 1000 searches at the moment, and only really started to show up on Google Trends from April. However “glueless lash clusters” has shown a 59% rise in search since 2023.
- There are 1762 videos on #pregluedlashes on TikTok, 670 for #gluelesslashes and they’re all over TikTok shop. I predict that it’s going to continue to rise.
- Some of the big and innovative lash brands like Tatti Lashes, Lola’s Lashes, Lash Ribbons, Eylure, Ardell, Wildcat Lashes, Moxie Lashes and Silly George are already pushing these pre-glued cluster lashes to market. Plus the dropshippers are already doing them by the bucketload. (Shoutout to Lola’s Lashes who already have organic content ranking on page 1 of Google for pre-glued cluster lashes).
Something that is interesting is that Lashify – the OG of DIY cluster lash extension style lashes – hasn’t got on board with pre-glued, and in searches for the brand overall have dropped by 24% in the last 12 months. This is may be as a result of hundreds of cheaper alternatives flooding the market over recent years, and more budget-conscious consumers.
What are people asking about cluster lashes in the UK?

- what are cluster lashes (260 UK searches p/m)
